In recent years our ThermaCool brand has grown significantly, as has the investment into the production of our unique product lineup. Since our move into our new facility, our ThermaCool brand products have received valuable equipment and upgrades such as new holding tanks, blending tank, as well as a new deionizing water filtration system. To increase the accuracy of our blends and further increase efficiency of our operations, we have an automation system integrated alongside our deionization system capable of producing 42,000 gallons of product ready liquid per day. This system is utilized all in preparation of creating the product in our 5,500 gallon complete drain blending tank coupled to a bacterial removal system to consistently create the best quality of products produced for the ThermaCool lineup of product variants needed for today’s diverse group of manufacturers.

This blend system is supported by an on-site lab where each batch receives a certificate of analysis and each batch code is stored at our facility. Our current lab tests include, but are not limited to: specific gravity, nitrite ppm, freeze point, solid ppm, molybdenite ppm, corrosion inhibitors ppm, and the list goes on.

Packaging is a very important part of all ThermaCool products as the product can only be as good as the package it is put in. To preserve the integrity of the products, only our polyethylene drums are used to store ThermaCool products. The reasoning behind this is due to the volatility of the relationship between water based products and steel drums. Manufacturers of the steel drums will only guarantee the integrity of the contents of the drums for 90 days. This guarantee is let down by the coating of the steel drum decaying over time, causing the steel drum to rust resulting in contamination of the product inside. By using our polyethylene (plastic) drums, product may be stored for longer than this 90 day period, whether at our facility or yours.

ThermaCool prides itself on its Used Antifreeze Analysis Program. Competitors may have programs to test used antifreeze, but most do not test the number of additives or contaminants as ThermaCool does. Many will do what is known as a Basic or Level 1 Test. ThermaCool has the ability to test our own products or competitor’s products up to a Level 5 Antifreeze Analysis. (Please see the attached Level 5 Used Antifreeze example to see the full number of product data points checked). Today, antifreezes are becoming more and more complicated. If a high level specific test is not performed, more often than not, the test will not give enough data to diagnose an improperly running engine. ThermaCool has partnered with two labs that have baseline testing performed on our own products so we can determine how the used antifreeze samples have changed over time and use.

The goal of every fleet is to have a healthy fleet with minimal out of service downtime. If you went to a doctor you would have blood work done to determine potential future issues. Used antifreeze analysis is to an engine what a blood screening is to a person. If used antifreeze can be kept within specification (like good blood results) we will be able to keep the health of the engine running at peak performance. ThermaCool is not alone in noting that a fleet cannot be healthy if the antifreeze results are poor. Manufacturers such as Cummins, Mack, Volvo, Caterpiller, and others want their vehicles and equipment’s antifreeze typically checked twice per year. This does not necessarily have to be a full Level 5 lab test. In this case, antifreeze test strips would sufficiently check the used antifreeze. A flyer for the Accustrip Coolant Test Strips can be found in this section and these test strips are readily available to be purchased from Corey Oil. With the experience and expertise in the world of Antifreeze, Corey Oil in partnership with the ThermaCool brand, has the ability to keep your fleet running at its best.
